Banner Elk Mansion going on the Auction Block! No minimum bid!!

May 31, 2018

This isn’t old, built in 1993, but it’s pretty amazing! It’s going on the auction block in June. Located on over four acres with beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is located in Banner Elk, North Carolina and owned by the Fisher family. They created “Body By Fisher” car design for General Motors.

I had to look that up to see what it was about. It was a division of General Motors. Apparently their car logo was pretty iconic and well known. It was still in use up until the 1990’s. You can learn more about it here.

The estate is 7,000 square feet! It is four bedrooms and six and 1/2 bathrooms. The auction will be online June 5-7. There will be no minimum bid, so prospective buyers could get the estate for pennies on the dollar. It was previously listed at $3.5 million!

From an ABC11 article about the auction:

“We are very pleased to have the opportunity to manage the sale of this magnificent estate with amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains,” said President and CEO of Fisher Auction Company Lamar Fisher. “Given its one-of-a-kind location, we feel this property will draw significant attention from many prospective buyers.”

If anyone takes a chance on this, let us know! Has anyone seen it in person?
