Historic B&B Reviews

Historic BnB Review: An Introduction

March 9, 2018

Over the course of running the ‘Old House Life’ facebook page, I’ve gotten the opportunity to stay at some amazing Bed and Breakfasts around the southeast. In fact, every time I’ve stayed at one, I’ve enjoyed it so much that I wonder why I don’t do this more often.

So, I’ve decided I will. And when I do it, I’ll report back to you and let you know which are the best, and which ones I’d recommend staying at for a weekend getaway.

The way I’m going to do it, is to take a weekend, go stay in a historic Bed and Breakfast and then make a post  on here with as much information as I can about the BnB and the surrounding town and it’s amenities. Here is how I’ll break it down…

The History
This is ‘The Old House Life’ site, so we’re only doing historic Bed and Breakfasts. That means it will obviously have some history. I’ll ask about the house and the property and the story behind it all and see if we can get a more extensive tour (or snoop around a little bit.)

The Stay
I’ll be reporting back on the stay, the host, the house/proptery and how everything was from a guest prospective. I’ll take pictures of the rooms and the grounds. Maybe even some Instagram worthy shots of the breakfast!

Around the Town
I’ll also do little day trips around the nearby towns and see what they have to offer. Obviously, I’ll be scoping out any (and every) historic site nearby, but also maybe let you know where to go to get the best feel for the town and culture. I might even do a little video for each one of these. We’ll see.

Lastly, I’ll give you guys the link to site where you can book it for yourself and let you know the rates and if they are willing to give an discounts to “Old House Life” readers!

Stay tuned…we’ll be putting a few of these out shortly!
