One thing is for sure, there are very quiet neighbors! That church sure is interesting looking! The house was built in 1870 by the Diocese of Portland for the sacristan of the Notre Dame de Mount Carmel Church. It is located in Grand Isle, Maine. A sacristan or sexton cared for the church, rang the bells, prepared the building for services, maintained the grounds, maintained the cemetery and sometimes handled burials. Would love to find more pictures of that amazing church! The house doesn’t look as old as they are saying, but there could be some old timber framing in there.
