Dr. Sayles Cabin in Little Switzerland, North Carolina. Two acres. $650,000

November 11, 2023

I love everything about this cabin, except for the price! That stone wall is a work of art! I like how they describe the interior as “organized confusion”. If I owned this, I would keep it as is, including the old clothes line hanging on the porch. The Dr. C. F. Sayles House was built in 1931. It is located on 2.10 acres in Little Switzerland, North Carolina. Amazing views from this cabin, but that price sure is steep, even for this area. The stone hearth has Dr. Sayles name is carved into it. One bedroom, two bathrooms and 946 square feet. $650,000

Outside old root cellar has been conformed to a half bath.Original sstone foundation and surrounding walkways are original and a handbuilt stone wall at the back of the home is a true work of art! The home as it sits is how it has existed for years; changes to the exterior of the home are few caused more by time and nature;not man. The inside of the home could be described by the term “Organized Confusion”! Anything that could be hung on a nail can be found on the interior walls. Built by Dr. C.F. Sayles , Miami, Fla and 1931 is carved in hearth. I tell you HE loved this house!
