Beautiful Windover Estate, Circa 1933. On 5 acres in Tryon, North Carolina. $1,450,000

November 2, 2022

Beautiful Windover Estate! I have actually been inside this home. It was back in 2017, I believe. Back then it was for sale and they were asking like $650,000 for it. It was beautiful back then and in pristine condition, so the price jump is confusing. Looks like they did do work to the pool. If I remember correctly the roof with the Ludiwici terracotta tiles needed some work and that can get pricey. I have a video tour of this home. If I can find it I will post it. The kitchen was neat! There was a built in food processor from the 1970’s! It worked and they even had the original instruction booklet for it. In the bathtub there was a slot to put old razor blades, they would just fall behind the wall. When I was in it a famous sculptor lived there. Nice man and loved showing us his workshop in the basement. There is a saltwater pool, guest house and a path leading down to the river. Three bedrooms, four bathrooms and 3,323 square feet. $1,450,000
