It was purchase by the Maxwell family in 1879 and they completed a major Queen Anne style addition in 1895. This historic home has most of its original features including unique, intricate woodwork, fireplace mantels, grand interior staircase, historic windows and a corner tower. It has been carefully updated by its preservation minded owner to include HVAC, electrical and plumbing updates. This historic property is protected by a preservation easement held by the Georgia Trust. All work done to the property must adhere to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
