This was also known as the Old Granville Exchange House. It was built by Jefferson Thomas Bailey and his wife, Sara. Jefferson was a farmer and proprietor of the hotel. The house has three floors and a large ballroom with a barrel ceiling. In the basement there is a hand dug, rock lined well that is said to produce the best tasting water.
