This sat vacant for seven years, then in 2018 a tornado ripped the roof off and caused extensive damage. The structure has been treated for mold three times. This was also known as the Old Granville Exchange House. It was built by Jefferson Thomas Bailey and his wife, Sara. Jefferson was a farmer and proprietor of the hotel. The house has three floors and a large ballroom with a barrel ceiling. In the basement there is a hand dug, rock lined well that is said to produce the best tasting water.
