This is one of my favorite places in the North Carolina mountains! If you haven’t been to Linville Falls or hiked down into the Linville Gorge Wilderness, you are missing out! The Franklin-Penland house was built in 1883. This property also includes the old Linville Post Office, circa 1907. It is located on 2.51 acres in Newland, North Carolina. The home is situated across the road from the Linville Gorge Wilderness area and just down the road from Linville Falls. That location would make this a great B&B if that is your thing. For me, I would make this my private residence and never leave. The old post office has been converted into a guest house! Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 1,968 square feet. (looks bigger than that) $599,000
