Off market. The Roundhouse, Circa 1892 in Arkansas. Has an elevator. $595,000

Such an interesting looking house and such an interesting history! The Roundhouse was built in 1892. It was originally designed to hold gas that would light up streetlights! It was later purchased by a water company and it housed water. In the early 2000’s a couple bought it and completely restored it. They discovered a river was running underneath the house so they had to raise the basement! This home has been completely restored and updated, but it still retains the original limestone walls. I believe I am seeing an elevator in one picture.

I’ve seen a couple of different build dates. One shows 1886 and another shows 1892. The house hs a two story library. There is an updated kitchen with what is described as a rotating retrieval system. There is a fourth floor studio as well. The Roundhouse is located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Two bedrooms, four bathrooms, and 3,656 square feet. $595,000

From the Zillow listing:

This 3656 square foot single family home has 2 bedrooms and 4.0 bathrooms. It is located at 77 Hillside Ave Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
