Historic Busterback Ranch. Circa 1940. Eighty acres in Idaho. $11,995,000

March 9, 2019

Historic Busterback Ranch in Idaho is pretty amazing. I want those bar stools! These “most expensive old house listings” make it easier to find the history on them. Busterback Ranch isn’t much different! It is owned by Thomas and Elizabeth Tierney, prominent philanthropists. In 2015 they gave a $1,000,000 gift to their local goodwill!

Busterback Ranch is their summer home. Every summer Elizabeth loads up her dogs and her six horses. She climbs behind the wheel of her Ford truck, a horse trailer hitched to the back and heads to Busterback Ranch until the fall. She considers herself a cowgirl, riding a couple of hours a day. When her husband is at Busterback Ranch he scours antique shops. Their motto in life is, “we are all in this together. There are so many people that can use a hand up. Everybody should look at what can they do to make the world a better place to live in.”

They have four grown children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The couple have a trust fund set up to take care of their family, but they also intend to take care of the community; the veterans, the students, the artists. What amazing people!
