Over one acre in Oxford, North Carolina. Circa 1887. H. G. Cooper House. $110,000

March 8, 2019

The H. G. Cooper house was built in 1887. Located on 1.3 acres in Oxford, North Carolina. I tried to buy this house three years ago. The morning my Realtor was going to make an offer on it, it went under contract. It was a foreclosure back then. Looking at pictures, I’m not seeing that they did much work. It needed a new roof back then and the porch had serious issues. From reading the listing, it appears the porch issue was not taken care of. Three years ago it was not qualifying for a mortgage and several deals fell through because of that. I will try to find my interior pictures of the interior. It is a huge house! The pocket doors are some of the biggest I have ever seen. Tempted to go see it again! Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 4,134 square feet. $110,000

From the Zillow listing:

Please note Middle School will change in 2019 to Northern Granville, currently Mary Potter. Use care when on front porch as in need of repair.
