Historic House Listings

Why? Why? Why do pictures like this?! Circa 1757….and they cartooned the house.

It seems like false advertisement when Realtors or homeowners use too much editing on pictures, especially with HDR. I had a listing agent one day ask me if I would post a house of theirs. I took one look at the overly edited pictures and told them if they took new pictures I would. BUT THESE……they take the cake. A very historic house built in 1757! The oldest in Strasburg, Virginia. AND THEY CARTOONED THE HOUSE!! It’s hard to see the original details, I think they are there. Then I thought, maybe it’s a for sale by owner and they are very artistic or something. This house has a listing agent though. Let me now add no cartoon pictures to the list of no’s. lol.

From the Zillow listing:

Historic Sonner House Circa 1757. Oldest home in Strasburg. A one of a kind property with substantial amount of history. It sits on a corner lot in the Historic District of downtown Strasburg. Updated with additions over the years. Original logs exposed in living & dining room, original fireplace in kitchen, hardwood floors, central heat & air. A perfect property for history lovers or museum.
