Ashland Farm is located on 132 acres. Some reports show the house dating back to 1725. Listing says, 1795. I think it’s the land dating back to the earlier date. The Holtzclaw family owned the property for 200 years. In 1984 the late, Sam Cummings, owner of Interarms in Alexandria purchased the farm. Now for some sordid history! His daughter shot and killed a polo player at the stone manor house in 1997. It was the most watched trial in the county’s history. Eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and 8,477 square feet. $5,500,000
