What a great house for the money! And it’s on five acres! I’m not a fan of carpet, but at least it is new and I bet there are hardwood floors underneath it. Built in 1865 in Manitou Beach, Michigan. Close to Devils Lake. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 2,464 square feet. $169,000

From the Zillow listing:

Beautiful natural doors, built ins and woodwork will lead you through this property filled with so much character and authenticity. Features a large kitchen area with eat in space and a formal dining room, traditional moldings and a unique fireplace mantel certainly add to the warmth of the living room. Two separate staircases with carved banisters and balusters take you upstairs to the 4 bedrooms a bathroom and original laundry chute. Recently painted with new flooring & carpet, New Furnace, Water Heater & Plumbing 2017, New Water Softener April 2018, Stainless Fridge & Stove. The Front Porch & balcony along with the patio & barn add so much to the exterior of this gem which also has a beautiful Magnolia tree in front, an apple orchard in the wooded area of the land. What I love about the home
My favorite things about this home include the new furnace, new water heater, new main floor carpet, new gutters and a completely new main floor full bathroom. The fireplace facade and amazingly detailed trim work throughout is breathtaking. We love that so much history has happened inside this spacious 1865 home that has a cement basement with ample storage.. The large home has two stairways, beautiful woodwork, a second balcony porch and a floor to ceiling beautiful pantry in the kitchen. There is 5 acres of land for snowmobiles, Cross county skiing or motor biking and a two stall garage and barn for storage. A lucky family is going to be able to enjoy relaxing county living. .
