Take a look inside this former church! Who remembers this one? Luke and I did a video there over the summer before work was started on it. The sellers put a lot of work into it. Sadly they have to sell to move to a different state. This is St. Frances church. It was built in 1845. It is located on 2.2 acres in Lewiston Woodville, North Carolina. The sellers had water connected from the street and I like how they used shelving to designate rooms. This former Methodist Church has an old cemetery out front with graves from the 1800’s. I will try to find my videos of the church and the cemetery and repost them. One bedroom, one bathroom and 1,351 square feet. $135,000

From the Zillow listing:
St. Frances is back, this time with a new twist. Unfortunately, the owners are having to make a move to Texas and aren’t able to fulfill their dream of living in an historic church here in NC. They started the transformation by having the water connected, adding a kitchen, designating private spaces with extra large bookcases as privacy walls and a fresh coat of paint. The 2.3 acres includes this c.1845 former Methodist Church and a cemetery with graves dating back in the 1800s. The original large windows offer so much natural light inside the ‘church’ and you feel welcomed immediately. The gorgeous heart pine floors throughout help add exactly the charm you want and expect. Other features include the gorgeous heart pine floors, 9 original pews in the loft, the old pump organ, and a bell tower with the working bell. The setting is perfect. The ‘church’ sits back off the road, behind the cemetery with mature trees in front and a large open yard in back. The sellers are offering concessions for exterior painting and a sun mar centrex toilet (Google it, it’s really cool and perfect for a space like this). They have also applied for a septic permit. With the Smokehouse and Market going in right down the street, you’ll be right in the middle of the Woodville Historic District and all the happenings in this small, historic town. Protective covenants with Preservation NC apply. Call to learn more.
