$55,000! What a house this could be! C. 1910 in West Virginia.

April 23, 2025

What a house this could be! What a project this could be! If I lived nearby it, I would be very interested in this one. George Barber designed homes always have such unique details. This house was built in 1910. It is located in Mount Hope, West Virginia. It definitely needs a lot of work, but how about that staircase and that little fountain outside! It was built for the owner of the New River Company. I believe it was a coal company. In 1920 the house was relocated to this location. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms and 3,504 square feet. $55,000

Outside, there is a covered garden area with water feature, and a 2-car garage with an artist’s studio, & filled to the brim with treasures! <mor This home is currently uninhabitable, but she is also looking for the perfect person to bring her back to her former glory.
