How sweet! In 1895 William Blair was President of American National Bank in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He began secretly building this home as a Christmas gift for his wife! The interior and exterior woodwork feature designs of holly leaves and iris blossoms. One celebrating the festive Christmas season, and the other was Mary Blair’s favorite flower. That Christmas Eve Mr. Blair drove Mary to the house by carriage. At the time they were living in a small cottage. He carried her over the threshold. Mr. Blair died suddenly in 1903. Mary sold the house to a doctor and his wife. They raised five children in the home.

There are original hardwood floors, pocket doors, wood trim, and moldings. There is a large shaded lot with mature trees and a wrought iron fence. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 2,954 square feet. $350,000
