This Betty’s Creek Landmark was built in 1894. Located on three acres in Rabun Gap, Georgia. I’m not so sure about the price on this one. It’s a beautiful setting, but that price seems awfully high considering the work. It does have some amazing history though. Home to one of the six families that settled Betty’s Creek Valley. In 1937 the barn housed Norman Coleman’s school bus, a 1937 Chevrolet with a wooden body. That is a beautiful stone chimney. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. $199,000 New Price: $189,000
From the Zillow listing:
Betty’s Creek Road – Restore This Landmark! An 1894 home of one of the original 6 families who settled Betty’s Creek Valley. Picture in your mind the residents rocking on the porch and waving to the neighbors going by in their horse and buggy. The barn with stone foundation garaged Norman Coleman’s First Bought School Bus, a 1937 Chevrolet chassis with the wooden body built by the people of Wolffork. Original two story home with massive stone chimney. 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room, kitchen, front porch, 2 stone root cellars. Portions of the stone walls, steps and plantings remain. Garden spot, spring branch and one of the largest China fir trees I’ve ever seen. 3+- acres in one of the most beautiful mountain valley settings in the region. Sold As-Is.
